Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations at our Sarasota stores, directing warehouse staff, scheduling shipping and receiving, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center, strong communication, and the ability to work extended hours during peak seasons. You will collaborate with other departments, maintain safety standards, and oversee equipment

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing for shipping/receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities: shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Oversee warehouse safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Handle general employee inquiries and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize operations.
• Prepare Activity Reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP.
• Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection and rotated properly.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

PurposeThe Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, the Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators; will manage the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.Minimum Eligibility Requirements1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skillsAbility to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the companyEffective communication skills (oral and written)Competent in performing basic mathematical calculationsStrong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systemsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlinesAvailable to work extended hours, especially during peak seasonsEssential FunctionsResponsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning in order to ship and receive products at the store in a productive and cost-efficient mannerDirect the day-to day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.Responsible for the warehouse as it pertains to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of productsResponsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and communicating all necessary repairs to CEM and/or Operations Manager. Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functionsResponsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulationsEnsure all associates are trained and following all standard operating proceduresResponsible for the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operationHandle general employee inquiries and solves problemsCoordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operationsComplete necessary Activity Reports for managementMonitor the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entryResolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reportsResponsible for the execution of the Storage Buy Audit COP.Ensure products are staged for counting and inspectionEnsure products are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety proceduresOversee the rotation of inventories within the warehousePerform other related duties as directed by managementWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
