Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced, customer‑driven environment. You’ll help keep our Fresh departments stocked, attractively displayed, and easy to shop, while engaging with customers to share product knowledge and ensure a positive store experience.

You’ll be responsible for stocking, rotating, and merchandising products, using technology to complete tasks accurately, and following safety and sanitation guidelines.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
• Operate Hi-Lo (forklift) and other powered industrial trucks to move product
