Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health Emergency Department team overnight.

You’ll provide onsite psychiatric services, clinical assessments, diagnoses, and medication management while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and social workers to deliver patient-centered care. This role emphasizes a balanced schedule with 3-day workweeks and flexible 12-hour shifts, within a mission-driven health

Qualifications

• Graduate from an APRN program with psychiatry/mental health specialization.
• Unrestricted APRN license and PMHNP certification.
• Unrestricted DEA license and CSR.
• Active PMP registration.
• Child-capable certification preferred.
• Psychiatric direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and Behavioral Health team.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations.
• Manage medications and treatment plans for behavioral health patients.
• Collaborate with care team including on-call Psychiatrist and ED Physician.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital setting.
