Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring Personal Support Workers to provide compassionate daily living assistance in a 60-hour biweekly overnight shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, delivering ambulatory support, hygiene, nutrition and companionship to residents. Applicants must hold PSW certification or be an internationally educated nurse, with CPR/First Aid and a recent vulnerable sector check.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or internationally educated nurse.
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including ambulatory support, personal hygiene and nutrition.
• Document task completion on an electronic health record platform during shift and communicate changes to clinical leads.
• Support and deliver on personalized care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families and teams through ongoing communication.
