Job summary

Job Summary

Job Title: Night Shift Parking Lot Sweeper – Full-Time

Location: Beech Grove, IN

Hours: 3rd Shift, 8 PM - 6 AM (Schedule subject to change based on business needs)

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Travel: Minimal (1-10%)

Responsibilities
  • Route Execution: Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
  • Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
  • Equipment & Material Handling: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Professional Communication: Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
  • Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Experience: 1 year driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred.
  • License: Driver’s License.
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

  • Safety & Compliance Focus: Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Execution & Reliability: Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Communication & Issue Reporting: Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment & Exposure: Constant work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic; occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions; limited exposure to chemicals.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs at varying heights, including overhead.
  • Cognitive & Sensory Requirements: Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand‑eye coordination throughout the workday.
  • Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized equipment and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
  • Safety & Protective Gear: Required use of appropriate PPE, including high‑visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.
