Job summary

Phillips Academy seeks a Nurse Practitioner for overnight shifts at the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center, a part-time 0.59 FTE, 10-month position with benefits eligibility on the campus in Massachusetts.

The role includes a 4-week rotating schedule with specific weekend/weekday nights and occasional after-hours duties for development, staff meetings, and student support. Collaboration with the Dean of Health and Wellness/CMO is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of Accredited Adult, Family, or Pediatric NP.
• Licensed to practice in Massachusetts with prescriptive privileges and DEA license.
• Experience in pediatrics/adolescent medicine, urgent care, orthopedics, mental health, or reproductive health preferred.
• Comfort using electronic health records for documentation.
• Commitment to wellness, evidence-based care, and culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to students at the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center for urgent care and observation/extended care visits.
• Independently perform clinical/diagnostic assessments, provide care, and formulate treatment plans including prescribing medications and ordering tests.
• Provide reproductive health care and education for students, including access to contraception.
• Maintain collaborative relationship with wellness team including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, counselors, athletic trainers, physicians, and outside consultants.
• Promote preventative medical care and health education through individual and group interactions with students, families, and the community.
