Can you warm a bottle with one eye open? Know that the 2:47 AM squeak is not the same as the 2:52 AM cry? Think there’s something pretty sweet about a quiet house, a sleepy baby, and knowing two exhausted parents are actually getting some rest?

East Wind Nannies is looking for a few really wonderful overnight nannies to add to our Pittsburgh network.

We’re talking newborn people. Baby whisperers. Calm-in-the-middle-of-the-night people. The caregivers who can walk into a tired household and somehow make everyone breathe a little easier.

Our families may need you for a single night, a handful of nights while they catch up on sleep, or recurring overnight care during those blurry newborn months.

You’ll arrive as the house is winding down and take over baby duty for the night.

Bottles? You’ve got them.

Diapers? Obviously.

A baby who has decided 3:08 AM is an excellent time to discuss life? You’re all ears.

You’ll feed, burp, change, soothe, settle, wash bottles, keep track of the important details, and leave things ready for the morning.

Most importantly, you’ll give parents something that feels almost mythical when there’s a newborn in the house:

sleep.

THE $$$: Because being delightful at 3 AM deserves to pay well. $28 to 45/hr depending on experience.

Requirements: You have professional childcare experience, and babies are your sweet spot. You’re confident with newborns and infants, dependable enough that a family never has to wonder if you’re actually showing up at 10 PM, and calm enough that a fussy baby doesn’t rattle you.

You’re CPR/First Aid certified, have excellent references, and understand that overnight care requires just as much attentiveness and professionalism as daytime care.

You might be a career nanny who has spent years loving on newborns, an experienced overnight nanny who knows the newborn stage like the back of your hand, or a trained Newborn Care Specialist who basically speaks fluent baby. NCS certification or specialized newborn training is a major plus—it's not required. What matters most to us is significant hands‑on newborn experience, confidence providing overnight care, excellent references, and the kind of calm, dependable presence a family can trust at 2 AM.
