Job summary

Lightfully Behavioral Health in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Mental Health Technician for the Adult Residential Program. The role provides client care, supervision, and oversight during overnight shifts, including medication administration oversight and crisis support.

The position requires 0-4 years in a mental health setting, a high school diploma or GED, First Aid, background clearances, and strong communication and organizational skills. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• 0-4 years experience working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities.
• Complete First Aid Training (First Aid Certificate) and health screenings as required.
• Criminal Record Clearance and TB clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts.
• Monitor and oversee clients’ self-administration of medication.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations during shifts.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist clients in crisis as directed by the clinical team and plan of care.
• Assist with meals and dietary needs as indicated.
• Lead groups or participate in facilitation as licensure allows.
• Assist with admission/discharge processes and orientation.
