Job Description
The Substitute Overnight Linen Runner at The Luxury Collection Hotel is responsible for transporting clean and dirty linens (sheets, towels, etc.) between floors, laundry rooms, and guest rooms, often working overnight.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Restocking linen closets on guest floors with clean sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats, etc.
- Removing dirty linens from housekeeping carts or closets and transporting them to the laundry area.
- Maintaining inventory by counting and reporting missing or damaged items.
- Coordinating with laundry attendants and housekeeping staff to ensure a constant supply and smooth operations.
- Following sanitation protocols to handle linens properly and avoid cross-contamination.
- Working independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision.
- Temp - Typically, 11 PM – 7 AM or similar overnight hours.
- Requires attention to detail, reliability, and some physical effort (lifting, pushing carts, etc.).
Helpful Skills
- Basic organization & time management.
- Physical stamina for pushing linen carts and handling loads.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards or health/safety protocols.
