Job summary

Smart & Final in San Diego is seeking a PART-TIME Associate (Overnight Load Crew Lead) at 932 San Diego to join our store operations team. You will help manage inventory, stock merchandise, operate a cash register, and ensure clean, safe store conditions while providing excellent customer service.

Starting rate is $17.75 per hour. Reports to the Store Manager and handles responsibilities across stocking, pricing, and merchandising during overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned and may order, receive and stock merchandise, price items, check date codes, stock shelves and displays, and review invoices.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all store areas and parking lot as directed.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, refunds, and verify eligibility when selling alcohol.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient assistance to customers and help load purchases when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record losses and store supplies.
