Columbia Pike Animal Hospital in Annandale, VA is seeking an Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 care team. The role supports DVMs during appointments, surgeries, and emergency procedures, with a focus on compassionate patient care and clear communication with clients.

The ideal candidate will be a VA-licensed LVT (or license pending) with experience in anesthesia, dental procedures, and ER nursing.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Virginia as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) or license pending.

The Licensed Veterinary Technician will coordinate with our DVMs to ensure world class animal care during appointments, surgeries, and all aspects of treatment procedures. They will collaborate with support staff to ensure patient and client needs and expectations are met. Reporting and Supervision:
This position reports to the Medical Director.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Surgery preparation, with pre- and post-operative care
• Administering anesthesia and patient monitoring
• Dental cleanings and dental procedures
• ER - Hospitalized & triage emergency patient nursing, and laboratory testing.
• Assisting veterinarians with animal care during appointments, surgeries, emergency visits, and all aspects of treatment procedures
• Communicating clearly with the doctors, support staff, and clients
• Supporting the team with maintaining inventory and medical records

Schedule/Availability:
Full-time employees are scheduled to work three 12-hour shifts per week and up to every other weekend.
