Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an experienced LPN for the overnight shift in our Psychiatric Nursing Department. You will deliver safe, therapeutic care under RN supervision and help create a calm, healing environment for patients.

New grads welcome; current BLS, fingerprint card, CPI training required within 30 days; 6 months psychiatric inpatient experience preferred; base pay with shift differential possible.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing in Arizona.

• Minimum 6 months of psychiatric experience required.
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions promptly and accurately.
• Monitor safety within the therapeutic milieu and assist in managing crisis situations.
• Assist in admission process, including data collection and orienting new patients.
• Document patient interactions and responses to interventions in medical records.
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans.

Job Qualifications:

• Current LPN licensure

• Assist in the admission process, including comprehensive data collection and orienting new patients to the unit and program
• Document relevant patient interactions, collected data, and responses to therapeutic interventions in medical records
• Collaborate closely with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices.
