Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) to support reports, data and scheduling for the laboratory. The 12:00am to 6:00am shift is part of the provider care team, with every other weekend/holiday coverage.

You will acquire specimens for testing using safe, accurate, professional methods while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and Mercy Service Standards. Prior phlebotomy or lab training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience or completion of a clinical training program.
• Must satisfactorily complete facility competencies (checklist, written exam, observation) for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Support reports, data and scheduling functions of the laboratory.
• Acquire specimens for testing using safe, accurate, professional methodologies.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with lab policies and Mercy standards.
