Compass Group USA is seeking an Overnight Janitorial floor technician in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role requires flooring maintenance expertise and the ability to operate industrial floor care equipment to service large areas.

Weekend and holiday work may be required, with competitive weekly pay and parking benefits. Ideal candidates will have customer service and janitorial experience, and knowledge of floor care techniques and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for large area floor cleaning.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning such as shampooing, extractions, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
