Job summary

UCLA Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine are seeking a dedicated clinical pharmacist to support multiple pharmacy locations and inpatient units. You will prepare and dispense medications, review orders, optimize therapy, counsel patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective use of medicines.

The role includes centralized and decentralized areas, with opportunities to participate in advanced clinical services across neonatal to adult patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license.
• ASHP-accredited residency (preferred).
• 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic calculations.
• Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and sterile products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense drugs in inpatient settings.
• Review and verify medication orders and patient records.
• Optimize safe medication therapy and review patient profiles.
• Counsel patients on appropriate drug use and dosing.
• Collaborate with health professionals to ensure safe medication use.
• Provide advanced clinical services (e.g., dosing, IV/PO conversions, monitoring) as per policy.
