You’ll run routine inspections and maintenance and create preventative measures to keep our equipment running smoothly as long as possible and minimize any risk. Responsibilities:

  1. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  2. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  3. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  4. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  5. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  6. Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
  7. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  8. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  9. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed or existing machines and equipment such as robotics, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  10. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  11. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motion controls, drives, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  12. Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunctions with other industrial maintenance workers and mechanics, supervisors, planners, schedulers, and machinists to diagnose malfunction.
  13. Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, controllers, drives, and position sensing devices.
  14. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
  15. Pushed buttons and presses keys on the robotic controller, programmable controller to program automated machinery, such as robotics, to operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
  16. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  17. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, electric, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  18. Complies with company, state, and federal (OSHA) safety policies, rules of conduct, and regulatory requirements.
  19. Uses good interpersonal skills and communication to work harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, team lead, shift coordinators, planners, engineers, and the customer. Works with other employees as a team and promotes the team concept.
  20. Works at a reasonable pace that is safe and allows the ability to handle numerous job assignments within a reasonable time period.

Qualifications:

  1. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
