Job summary

Target is hiring an Inbound Expert in Grass Valley, CA to help guests, stock GM product, and support efficient store operations for a smooth shopping experience.

You will join a fast-paced team, uphold guest-first service, and participate in daily tasks like sorting, inventory, and safety compliance. Training is provided and opportunities to grow within General Merchandise. You must be 18+, able to lift up to 44 pounds, and comfortable using handheld scanners.

• Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet and engage guests including 10ft/4ft greetings
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver a great experience
• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor
• Maintain product availability on GM categories
• Operate powered equipment if certified when unloading freight or moving merchandise
• Process defective merchandise and handle ESIM items per laws
• Demonstrate safety/compliance and ethical conduct
• Work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup and DriveUp
• All other duties based on business needs

This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick,packand ship fulfillment work.

As anInbound Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely include the following responsibilities:

• 4ft: greet the guest, smile andinitiatea warm, helpful interaction

• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

• Actively support team efforts andassistpeers in other areas whilemaintaininga positive and respectful attitude

• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

• Execute a detailed,accurateand efficient sorting operation.

• Stock,organize and store reserveproductand straightenmerchandiseonsalesfloor.

• Maintainproductavailabilityon thesalesfloorfor GM categories.

• If certified,operatepoweredequipmentas necessarywhile unloading freight or moving merchandise.

• Process defective merchandiseand handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance.

• Work in a safe mannerat all times;comply withall safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) andDriveup (DU)andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.

• All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights,weekendsand holidays); come to work when scheduled,work scheduled shifts and take required mealand rest breaks

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

• Ability toremainmobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
