Job summary

Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine and Oncology (SCVIM) operates an overnight ICU in Colorado Springs, within the Ethos Veterinary Health network. We seek a skilled RVT/LVT/CVT to provide high-level nursing care for hospitalized specialty and critical care patients during night shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of veterinary experience with increasing responsibility and are comfortable with anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and rapid clinical decision-making in a

Qualifications

• RVT/LVT/CVT required and preferred for overnight ICU.
• Minimum of 3 years veterinary experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and critical patient care preferred.
• Fluent English speaking/reading; multilingual encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to ICU and hospitalized patients throughout treatment and recovery.
• Triage incoming ICU cases from multiple referral and specialty services.
• Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect blood samples.
• Administer medications via SQ, IM, and IV routes and manage IV fluid therapy.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency and surgical procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate updates to vets, staff, and clients.
• Support hospital flow with patient handling, restraint, feeding, and general care.
