Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to support our Fresh departments and ensure a welcoming, well‑run store experience for customers. You’ll stock, merchandise, and rotate products while using technology to complete tasks accurately and safely.

You’ll work with teammates in a fast-paced environment, building strong customer connections and providing product knowledge to help guests find what they need. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

Sunday - Wednesday availability required.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
