Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will leverage product knowledge to assist customers, maintain attractive displays, and ensure accurate stocking across Fresh departments.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and responsive service to enhance the shopping experience. You will collaborate with teammates, learn store technology, and adapt to a busy environment while supporting multiple departments to keep the store

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks (lift, stand, move)
• Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus
• Comfort with using store technology

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
