Job summary

DSV is seeking a Senior Freight Security Specialist in Lancaster, TX, to monitor secure movement of high-value freight across the network. You will review shipments, assess risks, and respond to security alerts using GPS, telematics, and security devices.

The role requires 3–5 years in security/transport, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and strong judgment under fast-moving conditions. This overnight schedule runs 7 days on, 7 days off, 5:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, security operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of GPS tracking, telematics, geofencing and cargo security devices.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or security monitoring technology.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Review high-value and high-risk shipments to identify security requirements and ensure controls are in place.
• Ensure security devices and monitoring technologies are active and configured per risk level.
• Monitor shipments using GPS/telematics/geofencing to detect deviations or security concerns.
• Evaluate security exceptions and determine appropriate actions or escalations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Compliance during security events.
