Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a dependable forklift operator to help keep shelves stocked and deliveries moving. You will load and unload merchandise from trucks, inspect and receive items, and prepare pallets for the sales floor.

You’ll transport goods safely throughout the club, assist with opening and closing duties, greet Members, and provide prompt service. Prior forklift experience is preferred; training and certification are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner and follows safety standards.
• Loads and unloads merchandise to and from delivery trucks and prepares deliveries for unloading.
• Lifts, reserves and drops pallets of merchandise to and from the overhead steel and the sales floor; wraps, straps, stacks, labels, and corrects broken pallets.
• Transports merchandise, material and pallets safely throughout the club; uses a pallet jack as needed.
• Stocks, rotates, and stores general and food merchandise; handles damaged and spoiled items per policies.
• Keeps the club neat, clean, and organized; performs general maintenance duties and opening/closing procedures.
• Greets Members and provides prompt service; assists Members in locating merchandise.
• Performs other duties and works in other departments as needed.
