Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk in Michigan to create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments. You'll build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and help guests find what they need.

You will stock, rotate, and merchandise product to standards, use technology to complete tasks, follow food safety procedures, and work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery to keep operations smooth.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
