Job summary

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced ER veterinarian for an overnight position, joining a premier tertiary facility north of Boston. You will collaborate across specialties, participate in training initiatives, and contribute to a culture of excellence, teaching, and teamwork.

The candidate will bring DVM/VMD or equivalent, NAVLE completion, and 2+ years ER experience, with the ability to lift heavy loads and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will hold a DVM, VMD or equivalent degree with Educational Equivalency Certification and successful NAVLE completion.
• Rotating internship training and 2+ years of ER experience in a specialty hospital setting.
• Ability to frequently move, transport, or lift over 50lbs, handle patients independently, and work in an unpredictable veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient role: occasional support to the ER and incoming cases; Ten (10) overnight shifts per 4 weeks.
• Receiving doctor role: Ten (10) overnight shifts per 4 weeks.
• Hybrid option combining inpatient and receiving roles is available for discussion.
