Job summary

ChristianaCare in Delaware is seeking an Environmental Service Assistant I to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role supports infection control and safety in a healthcare setting that values compassion and teamwork.

The position is full time on the overnight shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with every-other weekend and holiday. Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), at least two years of customer service, and the ability to use

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a helpful attitude.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift during shift.
• Comfort using smartphones or PDAs for work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms, offices, and common areas clean and sanitary.
• Maintain equipment and supply closets in a safe and orderly condition.
• Support infection control by properly cleaning precaution rooms.
• Respond to service requests via phone and app promptly.
• Report maintenance issues and attend training sessions.
• Uphold safety standards and confidentiality at all times.
