Job summary

VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a compassionate, experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join an ER/ICU overnight team. You will handle patient care, anesthesia support, surgery assistance and critical care tasks in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital.

This overnight role offers a shift differential and a quieter environment between emergencies, with 3 x 12-hour shifts (6pm–6am) as full-time.

Qualifications

• CVT certification required and active in good standing.
• Experience in emergency/critical care preferred.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and perform overnight nursing duties.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities

• Triages and monitors emergency patients overnight.
• Places IV catheters, draws blood, and administers medications per orders.
• Assists anesthesia, surgery, and ongoing patient care in ICU.
• Maintains medical records and prepares handoffs to day team.
• Collaborates with overnight veterinarian and staff to optimize patient outcomes.
