Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking an Overnight Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our St. Louis Animal Emergency Clinic. Earn a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience and join a 24/7 emergency team delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

As an RVT, you will support hospital operations, perform nursing care, assist during surgery, manage diagnostics, and maintain patient records, all while upholding our Culture of Care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2+ years in the veterinary field.
• Active RVT license.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing lab tests and imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist during examinations and surgeries by preparing supplies and restraining patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with clients about patient status as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain equipment and inventory, order supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
