Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care in Portland, Maine is seeking an Overnight Emergency & Critical Care Technician to join our ECC team. Be the calm, skilled presence when every second counts, collaborating with criticalists, ER doctors and nurses.

We offer $25-38/hour, a $5,000 retention bonus for overnight full-time hires, shift differentials, full benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k)), paid CE, PTO and a uniform allowance.

Qualifications

• LVT/CVT/RVT credentials or strong veterinary assistant experience.
• Experience in emergency medicine or high-acuity settings preferred.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients.
• Administer medications and manage fluid therapy.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics including radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs.
• Monitor anesthesia and support emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
• Communicate with clients, doctors, and teammates.
