Job summary

United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc in Bennington, Vermont, United States seeks a Crisis Stabilization Support Worker (Overnight). The role provides direct client support, basic medical care, and medication assistance within Battelle House, under the Psychiatric Medical Team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, at least one year of relevant mental health experience, QMHP eligibility, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or related field.
• A minimum of one year's experience working directly with individuals with mental health issues.
• Eligible to obtain QMHP certification at any point during employment.

Responsibilities

• DIRECT CLIENT SUPPORT SERVICES: Admissions/discharges, interview, forms, and belongings inventory; support and assist clients in adjusting to the house and program.
• MEDICAL CARE AND MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION: Basic medical care, checking vital signs, assist with medications and coordination with nursing/medical staff.
• FACILITY DUTIES: Cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and mealtimes support.
• CLIENT IDENTIFICATION AND OUTREACH: Community outreach, client rights protection, referrals.
• AGENCY PARTICIPATION: Participation in committees, QA activities, interdepartmental work.
• RECORD KEEPING: Timely clinical and administrative forms, admissions/discharges, and medication documentation.
