Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market in Newburyport, MA is hiring a Grocery Overnight Crew Chief to lead a team of clerks responsible for overnight stocking, unloading trucks, and maintaining store conditions.

You will train new teammates, monitor inventory, resolve issues, and ensure policies are followed while delivering friendly service to customers during late hours.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in retail or grocery.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Able to work overnight shifts and lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of clerks during overnight hours.
• Supervise stocking shelves and unloading trucks.
• Maintain store conditions and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Train new team members and onboard staff.

Join our team as a Grocery Overnight Crew Chief and lead a fantastic group of clerks who keep our store running smoothly through the night! You'll supervise stocking shelves, unloading trucks, and maintaining store conditions. Your mission: lead the team, keep shelves organized, oversee deliveries, maintain a clean store, train new members, monitor inventory, resolve issues, and ensure everyone follows store policies. If you have supervisory experience in retail or grocery, strong leadership and communication skills, can work overnight shifts, and can lift heavy items, we want you!
