Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Overnight Credentialed Veterinary Technician to support our Specialty Teams. This role provides compassionate nursing care to post‑op and pre‑op patients, collaborates with specialty and emergency teams, and mentors junior staff.

Candidates must be credentialed (LVT/CVT/RVT) or eligible for DC licensure, with prior emergency or specialty care experience.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician required.
• Experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Proficiency in dosage calculation, medication administration, and patient monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to post‑op and pre‑op patients and medical boarders.
• Collaborate with specialty services and the emergency team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and a clean ward.
• Mentor technicians, assistants, and trainees; support owners with communication.
