Job summary

vsg is seeking personnel for an overnight role at our arena to support event operations behind the scenes. You will handle equipment and assist with crowd flow while maintaining a positive guest experience and world-class service.

The position requires standing for long periods, ergonomic movement, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior guest service experience is a plus, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

• Monitor for discrepancies or safety concerns and report to the manager.

Please note that this is an overnight position, with scheduled hours from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Job Summary

This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. It is a behind the scenes position that requires handling of all arena and conversion equipment. Candidates should be polite, friendly, and able to follow direction easily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for set up and tear down of various events, such as hockey, basketball, concerts, which involves dasher boards, glass, staging, tales, chairs, etc
• Work cooperatively with all staff members
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
• Assure the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guest by following all safety procedures and rules and OSHA standards
• Monitor and report to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, and safety concerns
• All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.

• Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
• Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
• Ability to work in loud environments
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying weather conditions and during high-traffic event times
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
• Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction
• Must be able to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
