Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to help create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will engage customers, share product knowledge, and maintain appealing displays while stocking and rotating items to meet safety and quality standards.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment across departments like Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, contributing to a smooth operation and great shopping experience for families.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly customer service in fast-paced retail or food environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read product information and assist customers effectively.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments. You’ll:
