Job summary

Cabot Corporation in Massachusetts is seeking an Overnight Process Operator to run chemical process systems and related equipment, following safety policies. The 12-hour rotating shift runs 5:45pm–5:45am, including set up, weighing raw materials, labeling and weighing intermediates and final product.

You will monitor and troubleshoot processes, conduct in-process QC testing, perform minor maintenance, and use a business system to enter work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of chemical operation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and batch sheets.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical process systems and related equipment following WI and MCP.
• Set up procedures: staging and weighing raw materials; assist in packaging and labeling.
• Monitor process conditions; perform in-process Quality Control testing.
• Conduct minor maintenance on process and support equipment.
• Enter work orders and requisitions in the business system.
• Assist in loading/unloading product and moving materials with lifting equipment.
• Participate in safety meetings and safety training.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area; support RC14001 requirements.
