Job summary

Ozinga Transportation Inc in Illinois is looking for an overnight Bulk Driver from 7pm to 5am to safely deliver cement and related products to rural and urban sites. You will operate company trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and safe driving standards.

Candidates need a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL, a current medical card, and at least 2 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid Class A Driver's License with a safe driving record.
Valid medical card obtained through company physical exam.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to understand signs and records.

Responsibilities

Drive company-owned or leased trucks to transport and deliver products.
Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to communicate with dispatch or other drivers.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety.
Report on-duty accidents and violations.
Drive to weigh stations to document weights and comply with regulations.
Maintain, report vehicle defects.
Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and verify documentation.
Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required.
Comply with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA safety rules and company policies.
