Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a Full-Time Tractor Trailer Driver (Overnight hours 4x10) at our Carlisle, PA location. This role requires delivering to stores in accordance with FMCSA/DOT regulations and maintaining safety and accuracy for each load.

The position requires a Class A CDL with at least 2 years of experience, willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections and load securing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class A CDL
• Must possess and maintain a permanent Class A CDL

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned tractor trailer to scheduled stores to deliver product from the PDC
• Responsible for the load, delivery and security of each load including seals and locks, delivery of mail and bills, obtaining necessary signatures, assisting store personnel in unloading product, securing cargo, and ensuring correct temperature of load
• Picking up assigned backhaul loads from stores and other vendors
• Fueling tractors and trailers and maintaining all equipment in good, clean condition
• Washing equipment as required
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on commercial motor vehicles
• Load the recycled items and pallets in trailer
• Must work holidays, nights, weekends, and must be available for mandatory workdays on normally scheduled off days
• Must be able to withstand road shocks and bumps
