Job summary

CandyCo in Lindon, UT is seeking an Overnight CDL A Driver for local driving between CandyCo yards in Lindon, American Fork, and Springville. The role runs Monday–Friday with a 9 PM–6 AM shift and includes a sign-on bonus up to $2,500.

Responsibilities include safely operating hostler trucks and yard tractors, transferring goods, and supporting dock operations. A valid CDL A, DOT medical card, and clean driving history are required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
• DOT regulatory compliance knowledge and ability to follow FMCSA rules.
• Must hold or obtain DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record for the last 12 months.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Demonstrated dependability, initiative, and good judgement.

• Safely operate hostler trucks, yard tractors, and assigned equipment.
• Follow FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations.
• Spot, stage, dock, and move trailers within yard areas and dock doors.
• Transfer goods between plant locations.
• Support shipping/receiving by ensuring trailers are available as needed.
• Verify trailer numbers, seals, and door status before movement.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain records of transfers and any incidents or accidents.
• Communicate with Fleet Supervisor, Warehouse, and team members.
• Adhere to safety policies and transportation regulations.

Job Purpose

The local CDL Class A driver will safely and efficiently deliver products, materials, and finished goods between CandyCo yards and dock doors between Lindon, American Fork, and Springville, Utah. This position may also support warehouse operations by ensuring trailers are properly staged, docked, and positioned to maintain safe and efficient workflow.

Duties and responsibilities

• Safely operate company hostler trucks, yard tractors, and assigned equipment


• Follow all FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations.


• May spot, stage, dock, and move trailers within yard areas and dock doors


• Transfer goods and materials between plant locations


• Support shipping and receiving operations by ensuring trailers are available as needed


• Verify trailer numbers, seal condition, and trailer door status prior to movement


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment, trailers and vehicles


• Maintain accurate records of transfers and any incidents or accidents


• Communicate effectively with Fleet Supervisor, Warehouse, and team members


• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation regulations


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License with minimum of 3 year of verifiable Class A experience


• At least previous 12 months of satisfactory driving history -Required


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain DOT medical card - Required


• Knowledge of DOT compliance regulations


• Self-motivated, responsible, and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently, good communication, and organization skills


• Bilingual skills preferred, not required (English, Spanish)


• Forklift Experience Preferred


• Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal demeanor, excellent listener, and the ability to exercise good judgement

Working conditions

• Must be able to work any and all shifts as directed.


• Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including holidays and weekends.


• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.


• Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures.

Physical requirements

• Must wear non-slip, safety-resistant work shoes.


• Participation in mandatory pre-shift stretches and exercises.


• Proper use of required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets (if needed), and safety gloves.


• Must wear all required PPE when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection.


• Physical ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.


• Must possess the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates and others using professional etiquette.
