Rusty Lantern Markets in Oxford, ME is seeking a full-time Overnight Cashier to greet customers and ensure a seamless shopping experience. The position runs from 10 pm to 6 am, and you will handle transactions, assist customers, and help with stocking and store operations.

Experience in retail cash handling is preferred. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have reliable transportation to support a smooth night shift. We offer a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old due to alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Physically able to squat, bend and turn as needed.
• Stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register and POS system.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with their needs.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
• Assist with stocking shelves and inventory management as needed to ensure product availability.
• Respond to customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy.
• Support promotional activities by informing customers about current deals and offers.
