Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Caregiver Assistant for overnight shifts. You will support residents with daily living, meals, and social activities, following each resident’s care plan and reporting changes to leadership.

This role emphasizes dignity, respect, and personal connection. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to obtain a Certified Nurse Aide certificate within six months, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Willing to complete Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
• Willing to take additional state-required training or education.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain them.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of daily living, including activities of daily living, meals, and social engagement.
• Communicate with branch clinical leadership when residents' needs change.
• Care for residents with dementia using appropriate approaches.
