FirstLight HomeCare of Lansing, MI is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Caregiver for an awake overnight position in Dexter, MI, working from 10 PM to 6 AM. The caregiver will provide hands-on personal care and support for a client overnight, ensuring safety and comfort. Responsibilities include being attentive, assisting with toileting and personal care, and documenting care. Positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering a supportive environment with competitive pay and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Caregiving or CNA experience preferred.
• Someone patient, dependable, and genuinely compassionate.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Able to stay awake and engaged all night.
• Comfortable working in close proximity to the client overnight.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake, present, and attentive for the entire shift.
• Stay in the client’s room to provide immediate support as needed.
• Assist with toileting, repositioning, and personal care.
• Offer reassurance and a calm presence during nighttime wake-ups.
• Monitor for any changes and communicate updates with the team.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Complete simple care documentation.
