Job summary

Visiting Angels Tyler, TX is seeking an Overnight Caregiver to support seniors in East Texas. You will help with medications, mobility, personal care, meals, and light housekeeping while providing compassionate companionship.

The role offers 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts, including PRN and day options, across a broad service area. Requirements include at least 2 years of caregiving experience, a valid driver's license with insurance, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility inside/outside the home.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with routine exercises and mobility.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Run errands or accompany clients shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide companionship and report incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Pay: $11.00–$13.00/hour based on experience.

Location: East Tawakoni, TX (serving East Texas area including Tyler, Whitehouse, Winnsboro, Quitman, Mineola, Lindale, Athens, Chandler, Bullard, Jacksonville, and Palestine).

Open for shifts Monday‑Sunday, including 8‑, 10‑, and 12‑hour, part‑time, PRN, short, and day shifts.

Overnight Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Overnight Caregiver Requirements

• 2 Years Previous Caregiving Experience
• Valid Driver's License (ID Card only is not sufficient)
• Vehicle with current Insurance
• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
