Job summary

AEGIS Security & Investigations is hiring experienced unarmed security officers for a high-end client site. The role focuses on crime prevention, customer service, and maintaining a safe environment for clients and guests.

Security Officers may be armed if eligible, with Guard Card and BSIS Firearms Permit. Requirements include 2–4 years in security or related fields, 40 hours BSIS training, and strong English communication. 12–50 hours weekly to start.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
• Completion of 40 hours BSIS training and most recent annual refresher.
• Guard Card and BSIS Firearms Permit.
• Chemical agent permit (if armed).
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Own a black business suit, white dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or polished boots.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical security functions and personal safety measures for clients.
• Patrol the work site on foot to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of all entry points.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Perform access control by monitoring entrance and departure of employees and visitors.
• Guard against theft and maintain security of the premises.
• Investigate disturbances and respond to alarms.
• Interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and visitors at the work site.
• Respond to on-site emergencies by contacting law enforcement or first responders.
