Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group LLC is seeking an Overnight Armed Security Guard for a client site in Plainfield, IL. This part-time role covers Thursday through Saturday, 9:00 pm to 2:15 am, with flexibility for shifts and locations as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid firearms license, FOID and PERC, own a Level 2 retention holster or higher, and bring strong communication, de-escalation, and vigilance to the role.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
• Valid firearms license or certification is required.
• Active PERC and FOID card are required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Capable of responding quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring safety of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed.
• Maintain professionalism with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance equipment.
• Document incidents and promptly report them to appropriate personnel.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership.

Position Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Requirements

Schedule and Availability

• Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
• Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
• Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
