Job summary

Factory Motor Parts is seeking a Corporate Security Specialist (overnight) to provide armed security at the corporate headquarters and various facilities. The role includes surveillance, incident investigation, and access control, with a focus on protecting people and assets.

Ten-hour to twelve-hour fixed shifts are common, and the position requires the ability to sit for long periods and work at a computer. Prior security experience and a MN carry permit are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in a relevant field is a plus.
• At least five years of proven experience in private security, military, or law enforcement.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, nights, and extra hours as required.
• First Aid/CPR certification (training provided by FMP).
• Current MN permit to carry.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• No criminal history.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Capacity to make decisions under pressure and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical security and customer service at FMP headquarters and events.
• Support the investigation team by collecting video footage, documenting incidents, and reporting findings.
• Investigate security incidents and document all findings in the incident management system.
• Perform routine loss prevention audits to detect vulnerabilities and reinforce standards.
• Oversee access control, alarms, and cameras during virtual patrols across all locations.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Enforce security, safety, and fire policies.
• Issue employee IDs and manage access permissions for alarms and entry systems.
