Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to support heavy equipment operation in the construction and maintenance of our power grid projects. You will assist the team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.

You will join a safety-focused team, operate equipment professionally, and participate in ongoing training to advance technical and leadership skills in varying weather and field conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Able to operate heavy equipment used in powerline construction.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in-excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work over-time when requested.
• Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team safety during daily operations.
• Assist line-workers in meeting project objectives and deadlines.
• Join storm restoration efforts promptly when needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Follow established safety rules and company policies at all times.
