Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to support power grid construction and maintenance. You will assist your team in building and repairing overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role requires operating heavy equipment, reading and writing effectively, and readiness to travel or work extended hours when necessary. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential to succeed in this field.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Able to operate heavy equipment used in powerline construction.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in-excess of 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support team by ensuring safety of self and others.
• Assist line-workers in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
• Continue training to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and tools for safe operation.
