Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to support teams in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead power distribution systems. You will operate heavy equipment, ensure safety, and assist in storm restoration efforts as needed.

The position requires readiness to obtain a CDL permit within 60 days, willingness to travel, and ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 60 days of employment.
• Able to operate heavy equipment used in powerline construction.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice when required.
• Willing to work overtime and outside normal hours.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
• Support team to meet project objectives and safety guidelines.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed to restore power.
• Maintain and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
