Hoosier Tex Express is seeking an Over the Road Company Driver for dry van freight. You’ll operate long-haul routes from our Texas base across the lower 48, with full pre-trip and post-trip inspections and strict safety compliance as daily routine.

You are the captain of the truck, calling in when conditions are unsafe, coordinating with a responsive dispatcher, and relying on well-maintained equipment and a shop that fixes issues right the first time.

Formación

• Class A CDL current and in good standing.
• 12+ months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driving record and verifiable safety history.
• Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Reliable, punctual, and performs inspections correctly every day.

Responsabilidades

• Perform complete pre-trip inspections every day.
• Perform complete post-trip inspections and accurate paperwork.
• Exercise standing authority to stop and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate long-haul dry van freight across the lower 48 from Texas base.
• Keep equipment serviced and rely on the shop to fix issues correctly the first time.

Long-haul dry van freight on established interstate lanes, running out of our Texas base across the lower 48. You are the captain of that truck: you run a full pre-trip and post-trip, and you have the standing authority to stop and call in when conditions are not right.

Your day starts with a full pre-trip — tires, brakes, lights, coupling, load, paperwork — and ends with a full post-trip, done properly and not rushed. If the weather, the traffic or the load does not look right, you stop and you call in. That is not a rule we tolerate, it is the rule we expect you to follow, and no dispatcher here will push you past it.

You get a dispatcher who answers the phone, equipment that is serviced on schedule, and a shop that fixes things the first time. We hire drivers who take the job seriously, and then we stay out of your way.

What this position asks for

• Class A CDL, current and in good standing
• 12 months or more of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• A clean driving record and a safety history we can verify
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• On time, dependable, and willing to do the inspection right every single day
