Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking an Oven Operator at the Ogden plant for the grave shift to run and maintain the oven bake rate, ensuring consistent product quality and safe production practices in a fast-paced facility.

You will set up, operate, and monitor ovens, document quality attributes such as size, weight, temperature, moisture and appearance, perform start-up/shutdown, and coordinate changeovers while supporting continuous improvement goals and GMP adherence.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GMPs and SQF policies.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Maintain accurate, legible production records and logs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor ovens to bake products according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate quality attributes including size, weight, temperature, moisture, and appearance.
  • Perform start-up and shutdown procedures and follow proper emergency shutdowns.
  • Coordinate and execute product changeovers efficiently to prevent production delays.
  • Identify and remove substandard or scrap product and report quality issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with GMPs and food safety standards.

Job Description:
About the Role:

The Oven Operator is responsible for running and maintaining the oven bake rate to meet line standards, ensuring consistent product quality, and supporting safe and efficient production.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor ovens to bake products according to specifications and production schedules
  • Monitor, document, and communicate quality attributes including size, weight, temperature, moisture, and appearance
  • Perform and follow proper start-up, shutdown, and emergency shutdown procedures
  • Coordinate and execute product changeovers efficiently to prevent production delays
  • Identify and remove substandard or scrap product, report quality issues, and communicate required adjustments to Mixers, Maintenance, or Supervisors
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records and assist with scrap tracking and rework activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with GMPs, allergen policies, safety practices, and food safety, food defense, and quality standards
Important Details:

This is a full-time permanent role on 3rd shift, which operates from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am Wednesday through Sunday. Pay: Starting at $26.36/hr. Location: UT Ogden.

About You:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of GMP’s and/or SQF polices
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (word, excel, power point)
