Job summary

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management seeks an experienced investment professional to join the New York Portfolio Management team within MAS, focusing on Outsourced CIO for US pensions and insurance portfolios. You will manage exposures across asset classes in line with investment philosophy and client guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in multi-asset strategies, risk management, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
• 3-6 years of investment management experience with teamwork.
• Ability to communicate investment strategies to diverse audiences.
• Experience in trading and risk management for insurance or pension portfolios.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg/Reuters knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines and internal policies.
• Lead investment and risk projects to enhance trading and analytics infrastructure.
• Trade across asset classes and instruments including futures, ETFs, options, swaps.
• Monitor portfolio risk, currency and cash management, and oversight of managers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement dynamic asset allocation views.
• Structure trades to align hedging and flow considerations with trading desks.
• Oversee derivative overlays to improve risk management.
• Analyze portfolio risk and performance, and report to Senior Portfolio Managers weekly.
• Produce investment updates and market commentary for divisional audiences.
• Participate in onboarding of new client mandates and portfolio restructurings.
